🌠 A Dose of Inspiration

🌠 A Dose of Inspiration

Welcome to the first edition of A Dose of Inspiration.

Hello friend

Firstly a big thank you for signing up and supporting me on the workshop in December and this new project of mind.

This little newsletter has been an idea in my mind for a while, yet I have held back because I had no idea how I was going to add value to your life.... until now.

Somewhere in the middle of December, between dancing and hosting my "

Create a life you love and go live it

" workshop, this came to me.

Why not start a newsletter to inspire people each week!

So with this, I hope to inspire you weekly. The essence of this newsletter will have 1 inspiring person, 1 song to dance to, 1 artist and their work, and 1 prompt for you to create a life you love.

At the end of reading this each week, I hope you find a dose of inspiration for your life, your projects, and your happiness.

Sidenote ...if this little Newsletter is not needed in your 2021, you can unsubscribe by clicking the unsubscribe from this list link at the bottom of this email. No hard feelings :)

Find your happiness

I was trying to think about who to kick off this inspirational people series with and I was stuck, not because I couldn't think of any, but because I wanted to start with the right kind of inspirational person for 2021.

Well, here he is, Actually, it's a combo. A Mother and Son.

Have you heard of

This adorable little kid and his manners are so inspiring. As an ex-teacher, this just melts my heart each time I see his mom give him something and then Grey replies with a "thank you, Mama". His mom is doing a great job!

This is the type of human the world needs more of.

Artists Who Inspire

Artist: Daniel Hugo

"The art which makes me want to settle down and buy a house."

I found this artist because his warrior woman was hanging on the wall next to me at the cafe in Cape Town, where I went every day to write That Travel Book. I was obsessed as she became my muse for showing up each time. The more I see his work of these warriors and sci-fi scenes, the more I want to live in his head and fill up my space someday with his art. Have you ever walked past a piece of art, then went around the city asking people if they know this artist? Because that is how I eventually came to find this artist.

Has art ever inspired you to do something more? Click on the links below to check out his work.

Song of the week

Starting off with the song that brought me so much life in 2020.

My suggestion is to play this loud and get up and dance!Find this in the Create a Life You Love Playlist on Spotify.

Create A Life You Love and Go Live It.

As we start 2021, the big question is are you taking time for yourself? 2020 brought more video calls, more people wanting to connect, more expectations to check in with everyone. Which on one hand has been great because we were handed an opportunity to connect, reconnect, and renew relationships.  However, before we rush into this year with a mountain of responsibilities, let's check-in and to see if you are taking the time to connect with yourself?

  • Do you have time scheduled in the week for yourself?

  • Do you have time scheduled to think about your life, time to plan your happiness, time to work on your projects?

  • Do you have time to enjoy your favourite meal, watch your favourite movie or read your favourite book?

  • Did you plan time for yourself in your schedule?

If not, let's rethink this. Remember you cannot pour from an empty cup. Make sure that your emotional wellbeing is taken care of first. The world needs mentally strong people right now, let's make sure that you are one of them.

β€œIt's my selfish desire to be inspired by you. Artists are the muses of each other.”
