🌠A Dose of Inspiration - Issue No 3

Hello friends and family!
We made it! It's almost the end of the first month of the year.
Now if you are still smiling, be proud! We all know that this year is not going to be easy but we will get through it, and we will do it with art, music, and inspiring people.
Before I forget,
hello and welcome
to the new subscribers. Thank you for joining us on this weekly adventure for a
Dose of Inspiration
and tips to
Create A Life You Love and Go Live It
. This week you are in for a treat!
The theme of this week is joy.
Like chocolates, mash potatoes, your favourite t-shirt, and that moment when you sit down and know you do not need to do anything else for the day,
that kind of JOY
!
Last year Covid arrived and took away a lot of things that usually bring me joy. It made me look at my life and reassess everything to find something small to make me smile each day.
What are things that bring you joy?
Is it a phone call with a loved one?
Is it the quiet space where no one bothers you?
Is it that song that makes your heart expand? (This one is me)
Is it watching the sunrise?
This week, I invite you to sit with this thought,
"What brings me joy?"
Now make a list:
Try to write down 25 things that bring you joy.
If this is easy push it to 50 things.
Now see if you can get to 75 things. Was that easy?
How about 100!
Here are some things on my list:
Potatoes
Salsa
Bachata
Ranita
Penguins
Wooden floors
Swimming
The ocean
Music
You can get super specific:
Eating a mango on the beach while listening to music after a swim. - Joy level 100000000.(I just won the game of life here, throw in a penguin and a great bachata dance and I would burst with happiness for sure!)
Creating a life you love
revolves a lot around owning your joy and taking responsibility for being the one to bring this joy into your life.
Over the next week look at your list and see if you can add 2- 3 things that bring you joy into your life.
Remember each week, we are just moving one tiny step forward to creating a life you love.

Can you live a life of JOY?
YES
, you can! Meet
. He is one of my favourite humans.
He is someone I introduced my students to when I was teaching, as someone to aspire to be like. When you are looking for work and a career path, make sure it brings you joy!

Artists Who Inspire

Artist: Itay Magen
"Color is not connected to logic. It appeals first and foremost to our feelings"
I tried to think of the most joyful artist and then Itay came to mind. Fun fact! He only started after 40. Before this, he was in the tech industry. This shows you....it's never too late to live a life full of joy.

Song of the week
Well you know the original is from Mariah but this voice takes you to a different place. This is a song you need to see live. Besides his voice, the band is amazing, and that saxophone..... like melted butter on a fresh loaf of bread. For this week, just turn it up and sing along!
In case you don't have Spotify, HERE is the Youtube link to it. (You can thank Brian)
