Hello friends and family!
Are you ready for this week's
Dose of Inspiration
?
Imagine living in a world where from day 1 you were enough in each situation...
Before we dive in further, hello and welcome
to the new subscribers. Thank you for joining us on this weekly adventure for a
Dose of Inspiration
and tips to
Create A Life You Love and Go Live It
.
The theme of this week is Woman.
It was International Women's day this week and inspiration ran high around me so I had to spread it.
To all the amazing women around me, the inspiring, thoughtful, loving, and strong ones. A big thank you for being you and shining in the way that you do!
The question to ponder for today is: When was the first time you learned the definition of the word woman?
These questions are for everyone, choose your perspective.
Was it when you were told that you can't do something?I was told that I should not ride a bicycle anymore when I "became" a woman.
Was it when you were told that you must do things? Growing up in an Indian family, we are told we must do certain tasks. I never once saw a man clean and polish the prayer items.
Was it when you were denied things?A DJ is not a job for a girl.
Was it when you heard of the expectations......
I am not entirely sure when I solidified the definition of a woman in my head but I know that I work constantly to redefine what this should be.
This goes for everyone. Have you ever questioned the expectations that are put on you?
If not ...take some time this week. Make a list of everything that is expected of you because of your gender and then analyze if this is something you actually want to keep on doing. If not, you have the power to stop doing this. Everything in life is a choice! Remember each week, we are just moving one tiny step forward to creating a life you love.

I am woman hear me roar!
Meet Lilly Singh!
I did not want to drop her bio but here it goes. Youtuber, actress, comedian, writer, producer, late-night host, and the founder of #GirlLove (a viral campaign turned NGO).

My woman crush every day! This powerhouse has taken her depression and channeled it into her art, a mission, and has created a following of thousands around the world. A few years back Lilly was making these videos about her daily life and her drive and her "hustle" inspired me. Watch this to catch a glimpse of what you can achieve in a day. Artists Who Inspire

Artist: Mental Paint
I think I fell in love! I searched for a female artist who captured and drew me in at first glance and honestly if you search for female artists there are so many out there. This is the beauty of social media, it's little hubs for everything that you want to find. All housed under the right tag. Anyway back to this week's beauty! Meet Mental Paint or Hannah. Everything is one of a kind and handmade. Nothing digital! Go absorb yourself in her magic!

Song of the week
This one is all thanks to Ranita, my little sister saved me from hunting the lists this week and dropped this gem onto my lap. A little dash of vocals with amazing jazzy reggae soul flow drenched in the blues feel. Enjoy! This is like a beautiful cup of tea on a Sunday afternoon.
