Hello friends and family!

Happy Friday and hello from Singapore! I hope your week has kicked off to a great one! Also happy pre-Valentine's wishes for next week (I wanted to be the first to send you some love!).

A warm

hello and welcome

to the new subscribers. Thank you for joining us on this weekly adventure for a

Dose of Inspiration

and tips to

Create A Life You Love and Go Live It

The theme of this week is "the swap".

At the start of this year, I made a decision to swap Netflix with reading and use my time in a more constructive way.

(Disclaimer: This is a personal choice so not recommending everyone to try it, but I want to share what this decision has resulted in my life so far.

)

I use Netflix as a way to relax, something to binge while I eat or when I want to potato on the couch after a long week. Now removing this from my life means that when I eat I "need" something to watch. Weird how I trained myself that these two things go together...

Also, something I want to dive into later is how I set up life, how many other random things are tied to each other that I am not aware of that might affect life in a negative way? I know scrolling on my phone before bed is one of them.

Anyway back to me needing something to watch. So off I went on Youtube (the OG) to find something interesting. Not wanting to waste time I started with history channel's then found myself bored, I then moved on to music channels thinking I would spark inspiration for new music, but I kept wanting to get up and dance...so this doesn't work.

Eventually, I found a shark tank video. I have never watched this show before but knew the concept, however now I am hooked.

The result of this has led to me constantly looking at things and wondering how can I improve them with a new product.

One small swap and my brain is now on a whole other pathway ...

  Your task this week:

  • Think about your life and see if you can swap it out for something else.

  • Do this as a test to see if there is any positive impact.

  • What about that morning task that drains you? How can you change it up to give you more energy?

Remember each week, we are just moving one tiny step forward to creating a life you love.

7 Simple Habits I Formed in my 20's That GREW my WEALTH to $100,000,000

These work for all ages so don't be put off by the video's title.  Leila's work ethic and story are inspiring. I am back on the reading habit in full force this year and being on my 6th book of the year already, I can see the effect this has on the rest of my life.

Now if only I was a morning person 🤪

Artists Who Inspire

 Artist: Tevin Drake

In a world where AI and computer-generated art are flooding my newsfeeds, here is an artist with incredible talent. Meet Tevin Drake, a pencil artist.

When I first found his work I was in amazement at the skill and detail in his work. You can see the hours it took and I wonder how his brain works for him to replicate so accurately these images.

I wonder if kids in future generations would lose this skill if we were creating everything in a few minutes with AI software. What would the impact on creativity be?

This is an inspiring and interesting time to be in the world, especially as a creative person. A hand-drawn art piece is still something of value in 2023...I wonder if the value would go up in 50 years. Could this be a rare skill in the future?

Anyway thanks for pondering this with me...hit reply and share your thoughts. I would love to hear more from everyone on this.

Song of the week

What luck! Another gem and another bucket list artist for me. I need to see this live. I am already smiling at my laptop as I type this and think of that moment. So much energy in this man's voice and in the band! For this week, turn it up and go dance everything away. I hope you take this cue and it gives you some great energy for the next few days.

Before I forget - a big thank you to @0melapics for the Tribal design that inspired this branding.
