Hello friends and family!

Happy Sunday. Seems to be the trend these days to write this on Sundays and I hope I can get back to a regular schedule for this in the coming weeks. How are you? I hope that life is going well and that you are having a restful weekend.

and tips to

Create A Life You Love and Go Live It

The theme of this week is "Gamify your life"

I had a conversation with a colleague this week and we chatted about how you finish a project. I am quite good with this one when I have the time and space to do it. I also have unlocked 2 keys that help me with finishing projects.

Not sure if you know but I created a

, My little baby, it took a few years, some detours, a burnout, and lots of deep focus to complete it. (FYI it's still on the list to market and I will get to this someday if you do buy it please leave a review on Amazon) ...for me, the point of this was to finish a book.

What I learned through that process was how I function and how to create a system that works together with my natural operating system. Otherwise, I am fighting an internal battle and this will require extra energy.

I have 2 modes, 1 productive adult and the other a 5-year-old. Now getting my 5-year-old self to do anything that requires focus is a struggle. But the productive adult will happily put on 90s boy bands and go into deep work for 5 hours without moving. I also prefer to do sprints for projects.

Sprints and gamification are the two concepts I use daily to get things done, even things around the house.

Some examples:

  1. Sprinting: 2-3 weeks of intense travel, work, and dance without stopping then 1 weekend to rest. When you see the schedule it looks crazy to most, but I know mentally I can push through this one, and in the end, I have 1 full weekend to do nothing. When I say do nothing I mean it. I will lie on the floor or couch and not move for hours. Refueling my energy for the next sprint. I also take the week after at a slower pace.

  2. Gamification: With every big project I create a plan and add levels to it. I speak to myself about it like I am playing a game. I need to unlock the keys to get to the next level. I ultimately want to win the game and celebrate. When I have completed all levels I win the game and the project is done and I can go celebrate with some travel or a dance festival.

The language you use plays a huge part in getting things done. I did a 10-day trip (Kuala Lumpur to Singapore to Dubai to Singapore and back to Kuala Lumpur). It was full-on with 5 events to attend, working every day, and meetings. The one thing I told myself was that I cannot say I am tired or exhausted. I just need to win each level and complete the game.

To be honest, I was tired and in the end, I was very ready to come home and rest. But thinking of it as a game and keeping my mind in a solid space helped.

Disclaimer: These 2 things work for me.

  Task this week:

  • Write down how you complete projects. What are the things that you do to put yourself in a more productive space?

  • What are some things that you can add?

  • What routine can you create to finish a big project?

Remember each week, we are just moving one tiny step forward to creating a life you love.

8 Habits for (Almost) Limitless Energy

Another great Youtube channel that I love. She has lots of great recipes and tips for living a healthier life.

Artists Who Inspire

Artist: Banu Anka

This artist is one you have to see in person! These images and her site do not do her work justice. Meet Banu Anka, an artist from Iran who is based in Istanbul. I found her work at Art Dubai.

I will forever remember the moment I saw her art. "WOW", ...I think I said this about 5 times. The detail in her painting and the scale of her art will mesmerize you. AI art will never give you the feeling you get when you see details like this and realize the magic and hours that went into a human making this.

Viewing art is not about productivity. Maybe this is why I love it so much!
