Hello friends and family!
Happy Weekend! I hope you are having an amazing and super relaxing one, filled with good humans and great food!
A beautiful
hello and welcome
to the new subscribers. Thank you for joining us on this weekly adventure for a
Dose of Inspiration
and tips to
Create A Life You Love and Go Live It
.
The theme of this week is "Let it go".
A quick weekend adventure to Kapas Island with a friend brought a ton of new inspiration for life and ideas for living.
One "conversation walk" along the beach and she asked me, "What do you want to let go of before we go back?"
This one question became a game that we bounced between us both alternating to reveal something heavy weighing us down. This was good practice to think about all the heaviness on our minds and in our hearts.
We went from light answers like "I was to let go of the self-inflected pressure to work out daily" to really deep ones about relationships with those close to us. I think the timing of this exercise was perfect as we both had some heavy weight that we are carrying around, which needed to be released.
Task this week:
Grab a best friend and take a walk with them and then bounce this question around between the two of you. "What do you want to let go of?"
While you walk breathe in deeply and let each answer go with an exhale.
Some things might be too heavy for one walk and it's up to you to take these to therapy if it's too much to release on your own.
Sending you extra love this week if those heavy aspects of life are wearing you down.
Remember each week, we are just moving one tiny step forward to creating a life you love.

Artists Who Inspire

Artist: Tomas Sanchez
Another gem in this artistic space. Meet Tomas Sanchez an artist from Cuba. The extreme talent in this man's work. Each piece is painted with so much detail and wonder. It gives me this sense of calm and serenity. (I added this to my art bucketlist...I need to see 1 of his works in person before I die)
"The human figure that sometimes appears in my paintings – often a meditator, sometimes a walker – is what I recognise as "the witness's consciousness," a concept from the line of philosophy and spirituality that I practice. The witness is none other than the recognition and vision of ourselves we can find within the vast complexity of meditation. We are not tourists in nature, nor can we extract its resources without weakening ourselves. In my experience, the consciousness of the witness is also a reminder that being kind to everything around us encompasses the respect that we must also give to ourselves.

Song of the week
Every version of this song is beautiful! Reminds me of Goldfish in the summer of 2009. (If you don't know Goldfish the band... it's some South African goodness for your soul.) Maybe I will share some next week...Anyway for this week as we close off the first 6 months of the year, turn it up and get up and dance in celebration of all you have acheived!
Before I forget - a big thank you to @0melapics for the Tribal design that inspired this branding.
