Hope your week has been amazing! Happy July, we are here… we made it! Here’s to another amazing month of the year. I am kicking it off with a full dance weekend in Seoul and lots of stretching for these injuries.

I am so happy to see that Dose of Inspiration Issue 128 landed in everyone’s inbox and the open rate was 48%, meaning this move to beehive is a success. (haha not actually fully successful now that it broke)

The theme of this week is 'Pay yourself for the work you do'.

I started paying myself for writing this newsletter. Now it’s not much but it’s a part of my real job income that I make and I pay myself like an employer would. It’s amazing what this did for my motivation and energy around writing the newsletter. Also in addition it added value to my newsletter. Because now I “technically” have 1 employee.

This issue is especially for anyone who has a creative hobby or even if you are doing the housework at home. Set aside some of your regular income to pay yourself. We live in a world that operates on money and the value attached to money. Not an ideal world for sure and a system that I criticize a lot but we need to learn to work this system to survive and thrive.

Your task this week:

• Make a list of all the “free” things that you do and how much you want to get paid from it.

• This is really an exercise to mentally add more value to things you do!

Remember each week, we are just moving one tiny step forward to creating a life you love.

Look at this magic I found. Meet Madeleine Gross. She creates these daydreams that add a layer of emotion to her art. I had too many favourites with her work. Have a look at her website and let me know if some other piece sparked joy!

This gem was in a mixtape by a Japanese music lover. I adore that people still compile music into their favourite collections on youtube. In another life, I would like to go around the world and sit with each of them to spend a day listening to this magic.
