🌿 What would you do if you were inspired? Issue 135

šŸ’« A Dose of Inspiration

Hello friends and family.

I hope you had an amazing week. Can you believe we have 5 months left of 2023? Pause for a moment….

Did you think it would turn out this good for you? Was this your plan?

Take a moment to congratulate yourself on all the hard decisions made, all the tough days, and all the self-motivated moments in your life that you keep to yourself. You did it and you are doing it. So let’s be proud!

The theme of this week is ā€œMusic and the Beauty of Lifeā€

This week I sent a suggestion to a friend who just arrived in Hoi An.

ā€œAmazing. Walk around Hoi An at midnight and take your headphones and play your favorite music. It's an experience like magicā€

We often wait for these magical moments to happen in life. Then when things don’t happen we get anxious or upset, we blame and become the victim of life.

But we all have the power to make life incredible. You don’t need to travel to have this.

Your task this week:

  • Go find your favorite spot in the city or a space with a beautiful view. Grab your headphones and let music beautify life for you.

Remember each week, we are just moving one tiny step forward to creating a life you love.

More beauty than inspiration this week with this video by Steven Sharp Nelson. *This might bring up some heavy emotions if you recently lost someone. And it might give you a moment of peace as well. 🌺

Artists Who Inspire

Pon Arsher

Light, beautiful, calm, and powerful. This is Pon Arsher’s work.

ā€œThe subject and the inspiration of her creations have always been people and the sensual nature. Her works’ main ambition is to recognise life’s challenges, and, the combination of color, texture and movement used, recreate a wonderful interpretation of that. The presented works are, in fact, a reflection of worries, complexes and self-restrain emotions which affect us all.ā€

Imagine if we all were taught to create art to process worries, life, and emotions. What a balanced, colourful world it would be.

Song of the week

I had to dive deeper into Steven and his cello after that Ted talk. I had an afrobeats song lined up for you but that can wait. The timestamp on this video is from 12 years ago. A reaffirming belief that the world is filled with magic, inspiration, and beauty. You just need to go look for it!

Maybe this should be that song to take you on a sensory adventure.

Before I forget - a big thank you to @0melapics for the Tribal design that inspired this branding.

Final thoughts:

We all only see a certain level of life. Then in order for you to see and do more you need to be inspired. This comes through conversations with others who live life very differently from you. So whenever you feel stagnant in life …go talk to people who are doing life differently from you.

We will either get some good inspiration or perspective, that life is actually great where we are.

Oh and if you are that inspiring person, make sure you are sharing your story, your gifts, and your art with the world. There is some 10-year-old kid dreaming of your life!

ā€œWe delight in the beauty of the butterfly, but rarely admit the changes it has gone through to achieve that beauty.ā€
