đź’« A Dose of Inspiration
Hello friends and family,
I hope you are well. This week and next week will be different. I am offline for 2 retreats. However, this newsletter is my little baby so I need to keep it going. But within the commitment I made to myself for these 2 weeks.
I am about to head into a massive life change and with my birthday coming up I have decided to dedicate 10 days to fully work through everything in my life that needs healing.
With this break comes a break from communication, social media, YouTube, and everything that takes my attention away from myself. I am on a detox unless it’s urgent.
So this newsletter and next week’s one will be an open letter from me to you, sharing one piece of this healing journey.
The theme of this week is “forgiveness”
I am on day 3 and I have to admit I almost left yesterday. It was hard, healing and facing your traumas and issues is not a fun experience. But I am in a safe space and guided by the best, also I put myself here so I can’t leave.
On day 1 something came up. I won’t go into details but it gave me perspective on all the mistakes I made in the past which had some negative affect on me…there were a lot. My 20s were a lot of mistakes, and a truckload of hurt, pain, and deep feelings that I never shared because I had to keep myself moving forward.
I was out in the world at a very young age and because of this, I had to become independent very fast. This came with a price. The price was that you only had you look out for yourself. So sometimes you made stupid decisions which at the time made sense to keep yourself together and safe, but looking back …might not have been the best move.
Anyway, the point is …this week I had a real moment to sit down and forgive myself for those decisions and for the hurt and pain they caused. A very heavy exercise. I would suggest you carve out two days for this.
One to do it and one to recover from the emotions that will come up.
Your task this week:
This will be one of the most healing exercises and if you take the time it will help you heal and be lighter in life.
Take some time and write down all the memories that you have where you did yourself wrong. Moments where you made a decision that went against what you really wanted, times where you hurt yourself, moments you wish you never lived.
All the times you needed yourself to do better.
Now sit with this list, take deep breaths, and feel all the emotions.
And start forgiving yourself for it all.
Repeat “I forgive myself for …..”
Keep doing this until the tears are dry and until you feel a full release.
It’s hard but I promise it’s worth it.
Remember each week, we are just moving one tiny step forward to creating a life you love.
I don’t have art… music …or any quote. These take research and time online. I only have a few moments to share something with you.
Thank you for showing up and opening this email. Thank you for allowing me these 2 weeks to release, heal, and breathe new life into me.
At the end of these 10 days, I will turn 39 and all I want is to walk into this next chapter of life a little lighter.
