🌿 What Would You Do If You Were Inspired? Issue 156

šŸ’« A Dose of Inspiration

Hello friends and family,

Sending you the biggest hug! Maybe you need it or maybe you don’t but either way, hope you feel the extent of this love coming your way.

Before I get into this week’s newsletter I want to share this little note that I wrote to myself in my morning pages on the 14th of March 2023 ā€œYou know the history of being stagnant and the best results come from action….You know where you are right now. Your entire life can change in a few months. Let’s go on this adventure. And be open to the magic regardless of how it looks.ā€

This adventure of 2024 was not planned, and life looks different now… I hope that with this adventure of mine, you find some courage to take action on whatever goal/ dream or random idea you have. It’s all possible if you just leap!

The theme of this week is ā€œGet Curiousā€

I think I have covered curiosity a few times in this newsletter. It’s my go-to advice for all creatives who are stuck in an artistic block, however, this also works well for life.

If you are feeling stuck or blocked by life’s overwhelming uncertainty take it all to a place of curiosity. Approach it like a 5-year-old with newness and fun. Everything is a matter of how you look at it….so turn it upside down, break it apart, and rebuild it again.

This is what I am doing with life right now. Breaking habits and rebuilding them to suit this new chapter, breaking ideas and ways of doing things, because maybe the way I have been doing things is not the right way for now…or maybe it wasn’t the right way at all.

I recently hung out with a friend and in our time together I realized there were moments where I would grab his hand as he crossed the street. This was unconscious on my part, but to him this made him feel like he couldn’t do it on his own. I love that he brought it up, I paid attention to it the next time we crossed the street and stopped reaching for him.

This made me wonder what else have I been doing unconsciously to others and myself that is not serving us now. How can I break it apart and redo it, retrain myself to move better through the world? …It’s all a constant work in progress. I am still learning and unlearning…hope you are too.

Your task this week:

  • Get curious about 2024. How can you unlearn, relearn, dive into, and break apart all the aspects of life that are not entirely working for you?

  • Finish this sentence ā€œ What if my life was …….ā€

Remember each week, we are just moving one tiny step forward to creating a life you love.

More on the idea of curiosity and change. The world is changing, life is changing and in this constant state of change are you preparing yourself for it all… some inspiration for life.

šŸŽØ Artists Who Inspire

Jacobo & Marƭa Ɓngeles

I have fallen in love with these mystical wooden carved figures here in Mexico. These are created from the artist's imagination and are covered in beautiful patterns. Called Tonas and Nahuales, which are protective animals that guide and protect us throughout our lives.

In another life, I would love to be the one creating this.

For now, I will let you explore the beautiful work of two incredible artists Jacobo and Maria, from San MartĆn Tilcajete.

šŸŽ¶ Song of the week

14 years old and this song still hits with the same beauty! Been on an uplifting vibe with music this year. Maybe it’s the chaos of not knowing where I will be in a few weeks and the madness of genocide in Palestine but music has been my anchor daily to ground my energy.

This one is a beautiful reminder for all of us. For this week, grab your headphones and dream of your little things!

Final thoughts:

The best cure for all this uncertainty in life is some sunshine, lots of water, nature, a hug, and a good night’s rest. Oh and living in the present moment!
