🌿 What Would You Do If You Were Inspired? Issue 158

šŸ’« A Dose of Inspiration

Hello friends and family,

That’s it, we made it to the end of month 1 of 2024! Well done! Hope you had some good laughter this month. For me, it’s been a month of balance and loss of balance.

Solo travel is not all high moments. The mental conversations this month have been extra interesting, from good ideas for new projects to random self-criticism and lonely thoughts. I have needed more time to realign my mind and set up new practices for this chapter of life. Sometimes the current way of doing things is just not working as well anymore and systems need to be upgraded… like now. A new level of life…means new ways of living.

The theme of this week is ā€œTime thinkingā€

One of my morning pages this week brought up this idea of ā€œtime thinkingā€. I looked at everything I was doing over the last few days and realized that I had slipped into a way of doing things that is just for today.

Every day I woke up and did only what was needed for that day and moved on.

Now this is not bad but I also now want to create a bunch of things in the future and that requires a different way of doing things. Bit more of planning and a focus on things that might only pay off in 10 months.

This made me look at my calendar for Feb and the things I want to do… What would happen if I took Feb to mostly work on future things?

20% of my time working on ā€œnowā€ things and 80% on ā€œfutureā€ things.

This is my experiment for FEB.

Your task this week:

  • Take a moment to think about your current life/ work schedule…

  • Does this work for you?

  • If not, how can you change it?

  • Maybe take Feb to experiment with something new.

Remember each week, we are just moving one tiny step forward to creating a life you love.

šŸ¤™šŸ¾ Inspiration Labs

Inspiration Labs is a 1-hour call where we dive into your project, career, life, or big dream. This free session is to gain clarity, dream bigger, and walk out with 1 action step to start moving forward.

I will open new sessions weekly for this.

To have this available to everyone, you are allowed 1 session only. (Sorry wish I had all the time in the world to only do this but I have to work too haha)

Found this gem of a YouTube channel for anyone who needs some financial inspiration for life, whether it’s making money, saving, investing, or getting organized…Nisha has a quality video for you to learn from.

Also big thank you to my amazing friend Jane who shared her tracker with me and got me to organize my financial life in a matter of hours! Ask your friends to share the things they are excelling at. One small action from her made a huge difference in this year for me.

šŸŽØ Artists Who Inspire

Issvan Duarte

I am a bit frustrated that I couldn’t find any images of his current series because that is what caught my eye when I walked past his gallery. These are just a snippet of his magic. Issvan Duarte is an artist from Oaxaca and shares his creativity, culture, folktales, and insights from plant medicine through his work. His art is truely mesmerizing to me.

It feels like every corner has an amazing artist here in Oaxaca, just creating for some art collector on the other side of the world. It’s magic!

šŸŽ¶ Song of the week

Found this a few months back and it became my go-to track for meditation. Easy 1-hour calm for your soul. Now I find that even 7 minutes of this can center, ground me, and bring me back to focus.

Hope this one brings you some peace this week. Grab your headphones and sit in a calm space, close your eyes, and focus on your breathing.

Final thoughts:

Most of us didn’t get taught how to take care of our mental health properly. This is still a subject that is missed in school. But with the internet, you can find resources, support, guidance, and the tools you need to thrive. Use your scrolling well!
