🌿 What Would You Do If You Were Inspired? Issue 162
💫 A Dose of Inspiration
Hello friends and family,
We did it. Another great month is done. Let’s do a quick check-in for Feb:
How do you feel about February? Was it good or not?
What was 1 highlight of the month? (Hope this made you smile)
What would you have loved to do?
That’s all …now we can continue.
The theme of this week is “Your Reality”
I had an interesting observation this past week by entering conversations with a few different people and hearing their views of Oaxaca. Now we all have our upbringings, morals, values, and views and this makes for a heated debate if we were to hold on tightly to these things.
For instance ..my view of Oaxaca is a beautiful city, full of culture, history, and magic. On the flip side, I also see the gentrification of the neighborhood, the inequality, the struggles of the people, and the privilege of those born from the bloodline of Spanish Colonization.
This is a city …similar to Cape Town and a country with struggles that align with South Africa, such as a major water crisis.
This does not change the reality of my calm sunsets and the conversations with locals who are feeling left out in this developing city.
This past week I had a 2-hour Spanish Class and my teacher and I were chatting on the topic of work and opportunities. I told her about my view of South Africa and how with all of its problems we have a ton of opportunities to make money, create things, and solve our problems.
People are resilient …when they want to be. But it depends on the reality that they want to see and the action that they want to take.
Your task this week:
Take a moment to think about the way you view your surroundings, city, and situation.
Is there space for new opportunities, are you overlooking a spot to grow?
Remember each week, we are just moving one tiny step forward to creating a life you love.
🤙🏾 Inspiration Labs
Inspiration Labs is a 1-hour call where we dive into your project, career, life, or big dream. This free session is to gain clarity, dream bigger, and walk out with 1 action step to start moving forward. My value back to the world 💫
I will open new sessions weekly for this.
To have this available to everyone, you are allowed 1 session only. (Sorry wish I had all the time in the world to only do this but I have to work too haha)
Some inspiration from Japan. I love traveling because I get to see firsthand how different cultures live. I will always prefer to cut meat with scissors and to put food trash in the freezer so it doesn’t decompose in the bin (thanks to South Korea) and will need to get that flat piece of metal grill for my future house to toast bread like they do in Chile.
What’s one great habit from your country that the world needs to learn? Hit reply and let me know.
🎨 Artists Who Inspire
Juan Carlos Luna

Bumped into this incredible artist this week. Meet Juan Carlos Luna, an artist from Oaxaca who creates these amazing hearts, each unique and different. We can add this to my bucket list for art I want to own. A journey of his own with his creativity, I would have loved to hear the story behind each piece but my Spanish level is not there yet.

🎶 Song of the week
I found this artist today. Can you believe it …in 2024? I am shocked to have been snoozing on this epic artist from Saudi. I did a whole wtf, when I read up that his from Saudi. What an incredible voice…
Do yourself a favor and go listen to the rest of his stuff …it’s deliciously good.
✈️ Travel Inspo
“to travel is to wash your eyes”

Got to visit the art studio of Jacopo y Maria in San Martín Tilcajete, Oaxaca.
Wow, just wow!
Final thoughts:
I think we all need to be careful about the lens in which we view the world. Right now it’s easy to see and view someone as the other (and as we see in a few places). The other can then lead to genocide, a forgotten people, and a lot more hatred. I think we have it in us to be better…
Especially in 2024!
