Hello friends and family,

Happy March! We are kicking off the 3rd month of the year. I am amazed at how fast this year is going and at the same time, how insane the world feels. We are on 150+ days of the genocides in Palestine, Sudan, and Congo.

I hope you are taking care of your mental state this year. Make this and your health a priority. From me to you…I want you to be around for many, many more years.

The theme of this week is “Monthly Themes”

I have started a practice of monthly themes. Giving my month a focus and vision before it begins has helped guide my goals, day-to-day life, and weekly overviews.

The theme for February was “love”, a beautiful friend, Guille, inspired this. She told me that she falls in love at least 3 times when she goes outside. To be fair, she is 22 and fresh in the world. But hey…this perspective was refreshing and inspiring.

Imagine falling in love this often, how beautiful would life be?

So that is what I did, I listened for love, observed, and loved hard this Feb. A beautiful and good goal.

I learned a lesson here, you can take any theme and make it happen if you focus on this (of course, the universe will help as well if you need this).

So now we are in March…and I need a new theme…Still debating on this but leaning towards solid focus with work.

🎨 Artists Who Inspire

Denis Paradis (CAMOTE TOYS)

I got the pleasure of hanging out with Denis this week. This creative soul from Argentina is here in Oaxaca, learning, sharing, and creating from a base of culture. He is extremely humble, talented, and patient.

I love the cuteness in his ceramics and the culture behind it. Ever since Chile, I have been fascinated by the pottery from this region of the world. Now I get to train with someone more obsessed than I am.

From climate policy to pottery and toys, I love the story behind how he got here and realigned on his path.

It is an honour to spend time with artists, to be inspired, and to learn. I am in awe at the magic of 2024. All of this is happening because I left a life of comfort and ventured out into the world.

A little bit of jazzy soul for this week. This is one of my newest favourite voices on earth. Very smooth! Something for a Sunday drive, a karaoke session or your morning shower.

Final thoughts:

I am halfway through this Mexico adventure. It’s a balance of emotions. Some nerves, some excitement, and some uncertainty. The overarching theme of this year is to experience life in all its beauty and practice the constant letting go of places, spaces, people, and beautiful moments. If I hold on too tightly I might miss the magic or squeeze all the goodness out of life.
