🌿 What Would You Do If You Were Inspired? Issue 167

šŸ’« A Dose of Inspiration

Hello friends and family,

We made it! It’s the last day of March and this ends the first 3 months into the year, how is your 2024 going? As slow as it can feel, time is moving on and your goals, plans, and dreams are waiting. Take a moment to breathe before we kick off this week’s issue.

I am laser-focused for April to July and ready to make solid magic! As you read last week, I have an accountability group kicking off this week and we have a spot for you if you need it. Just hit reply and I will send you everything.

The theme of this week is ā€œFocused Timeā€

I learned a good lesson last week. I went to dinner with some friends here in Mexico City and it was great but my Spanish was basic and I came home feeling so frustrated with the level of my knowledge.

For me, these moments of frustration are the best wake-up calls for me to make huge jumps forward. I woke up on Saturday ready to study. I looked at my calendar for the week and decided if I really wanted to move this forward in the fastest amount of time, I would need to add in time blocks and adjust my life for this goal. One to two classes a week would not be enough and of course, just random YouTube videos would not cut it.

Thanks to teaching English for 5 years and understanding different learning models, I know how I like to learn. Games and critical thinking give my brain some space to play with the skill I am trying to develop. So I spent a good amount of time training Chat GPT yesterday to be a Spanish teacher and to focus on what I need to learn, then to help me practice by playing games. For some, this might be a waste of a Saturday but actually, now I have made a huge step forward for learning and mastering this language.

Your task this week:

  • Take a look at how you spent your time in March.

  • Where can you create focused time in April to get your dream done?

Remember each week, we are just moving one tiny step forward to creating a life you love.

šŸ¤™šŸ¾ Inspiration Labs

Inspiration Labs is a 1-hour call where we dive into your project, career, life, or big dream. This free session is to gain clarity, dream bigger, and walk out with 1 action step to start moving forward. This is the value I am adding back to the world šŸ’«

I will open new sessions weekly for this. To have this available to everyone, you are allowed 1 session only. (Sorry I wish, I had all the time in the world to only do this but I have to work too)

I love this channel. It breaks down different topics into educational essays, short content but highly engaging. I binged quite a few and this one is my favourite.

ā€œThe game you didn’t know you were playingā€ is a great title too. Enjoy!

šŸŽØ Artists Who Inspire

Peter Lubach

Another quirky artist with the cutest take on ceramics. Meet Peter Lubach. I think that quick dive back into ceramics unlocked a dream I had when I was in school, where I wanted to do ceramics but it clashed with a math class I had to take. I wonder what life would have been like if I had taken that class instead.

Fun fact I still can’t count and I hate math.

If you have kids ask them what they are passionate about, what sets their hearts on fire right now and then find a way to share some ways for them to do it weekly.

šŸŽ¶ Song of the week

I am officially changing the theme song for 2024 to this one. Such energy and vibes. I think it’s the perfect refresh anthem for April. Also look at these 3 queens, crushing it and collaborating. This is a good reminder that we move forward faster…together.

This week, get up and dance to this one. Have a salsa break time in your day!

Final thoughts:

You can start and restart over at any time. You just need to want to start over and make the steps forward.

ā€œAnd once the storm is over, you won’t remember how you made it through, how you managed to survive. You won’t even be sure, whether the storm is really over. But one thing is certain. When you come out of the storm, you won’t be the same person who walked in. That’s what this storm’s all about.ā€
