🌿 What Would You Do If You Were Inspired? Issue 169

💫 A Dose of Inspiration

Hello friends and family,

I skipped a week…did you notice? Well, a few of you did. Thank you for reaching out and keeping me accountable for this newsletter. Last week had a lot of unexpected things pop up..and it seems to be the trend for this week too. No real excuse - have to deal with life stuff first. I will be back to a regular posting from next week again.

But I am back this week with another dose of inspo for your day and I promise to make it good.

The theme of this week is “refresh”

How has your mood and vibe been over these past few months? For me, I found myself feeling very stuck with a few projects and somehow I let my mind run away with me for a few days and started feeling low about the work that I was doing.

Thankfully I caught myself on the second day and made myself pause, journal, and refresh everything. I reminded myself that sometimes things plateau before you get a big uptick in effort and the main thing is to keep going.

We often forget that everything is a series of moments tied together and most times in this energy you need to pause, take stock, and relook at what you are doing with a fresh perspective.

Your task this week:

  • If you feel stuck in any part of your life or need a refresh grab a piece of paper.

  • Write down what is not working then list all the ideas to solve it/ improve it and change up the energy.

Remember each week, we are just moving one tiny step forward to creating a life you love.

🤙🏾 Inspiration Labs

Inspiration Labs is a 1-hour call where we dive into your project, career, life, or big dream. This free session is to gain clarity, dream bigger, and walk out with 1 action step to start moving forward. This is the value I am adding back to the world 💫

I will open new sessions weekly for this. To have this available to everyone, you are allowed 1 session only. (Sorry I wish, I had all the time in the world to only do this but I have to work too)

I love watching people grow an idea for a business, seeing what inspired them and how they needed to pivot or grow to make it work. This is some good inspiration for anyone looking to start a business idea.

🎨 Artists Who Inspire

Artemio

This was one of the best exhibitions I have seen in a while. Artemio is insanely talented. He curated about 40 historical works of art and removed everything except the blood. The energy in this room was heavy. Then you see the scale of it in each piece, read a bit of the story, and then realize the timeline of it all.

By its nature, blood has a double characteristic; on the one hand, it suggests life, and at the same time, it points to the closeness to death, however, to do so, it needs to become visible. In this duality the presence of blood serves as a warning that “something” is about to happen. Sangre is an exhibition that is almost impossible to conceive of with his actual works, because of such mundane issues as politics, logistics, and economics. Artemio makes it possible by overcoming these futile impediments and generates a rereading of the way we relate to blood. Does it disgust us or attract us? Do we feel violated when we see it? Or, on the contrary, do we enjoy imagining the scenes behind those stains? The answers lie only in human nature, which, like blood, generates opposing ideologies. The eternal struggle between good and evil.”

🎶 Song of the week

I don’t know what to do with this song, it’s not an entirely happy and uplifting song but dammm is it beautifully created. I saw the trailer for this movie and knew the soundtrack would be amazing. I was right. Enjoy this one.

Also here is the trailer…the world needs more stories like this to be mainstream and not on some indie list in a small theater with limited viewings. (This is how I found out about it)

Final thoughts:

Sometimes you need a solid playlist and walk around the block to get your mind right. This should be taught in school.
