Hello friends and family!
Another beautiful Wednesday. I hope your June has started off in the most amazing way! June first is one of my favourite days of the year because my parents gave me the best gift on this day...
my little sister (Happy Birthday Ranita! Wishing you the best year ever.)
Hello and welcome
to the new subscribers and friends. Thank you for joining us on this weekly adventure for a
Dose of Inspiration
and tips to
Create A Life You Love and Go Live It
.
The theme of this week is art.
A little backstory to the creation of this newsletter. Art has always been one of the gifts I give myself. A quick walk through an art gallery or getting lost in the Instagram of an artist is such a treat and usually costs little to nothing.
It's something that is just for me and it brings me happiness. For many years, I would gift myself a meeting with an artist or creative person. This was something to inspire me to move forward with my own life and to create more. (
my own dose of inspiration
)
At the end of 2020, I decided to channel this love for art into this newsletter and add music and inspiration. Little did I know that this little move would be the start of a new pathway in life, one filled with weekly happiness, art, music, and a move that would inspire many to make bold moves in their own life.
Each week I get a reply back to the newsletter from one of you taking action in your own life. This is much better than I could have ever imagined when I started out on day 1.
So this week I want to bring it back to you and say a big thank you for opening this newsletter each week, for taking time in your day, and for taking the bold steps. You make me proud to write these newsletters and I am happy that you are creating a life that you love.
Remember each week, we are just moving one tiny step forward to creating a life you love.
This week I want to share the magic of Petra with you. Fariz captured our experience perfectly. This is 1 minute of pure magic! Enjoy.

Artists Who Inspire

Artist: Jasmine Alkurdi
This is one of my favorite stories ever. I arrived in the city of Amman on Independence day (what luck!), then in the evening we walked into a bar to have a drink to celebrate and I see these colourful pieces (See image one), full of excitement I post it and tag the artist on Instagram.
Fast forward to the next day when Jasmine and I start a conversation on Instagram and agree to meet up. She invited me to the opening of this incredible space (
) where her art was on show.
First, you see the colour and then you look deeper to see the stories and journey of self. She is such a talented artist and even more ...such an incredible human to take her trauma, pain, anxiety, and emotions and then channel them into her work.
Art is so much more than pretty pictures hanging on walls and the artists of this region have so much to share.
Click on the links below to check out her work.

Update from last week: I met the artist Mohammad Awwad :) We chatted about art and life and I am now an even bigger fan. I can't wait to see what else he creates moving forward.
I got the link you need for digital prints. Click below :)

Song of the week
This week's song was a gift from the universe for sure. Shared by one of the most passionate creative people on earth. Oday is a 17-year-old kid who breathes art and creativity. I can see the passion he has for words, music, and film and I am in awe at the potential of what he can create in this lifetime. In a moment of magic, he shared this song and the story behind it. I will not do it justice so I will share the link for you to read up on it. This song is based on the famous love story of Layla and Majnun. This week read the love story then watch the video of 'When we met'.
Before I forget - a big thank you to @0melapics for the Tribal design that inspired this branding.
