🌱What would you do if you were inspired? - Issue 83⭐

Hello friends and family!

A beautiful virtual hug to those who need it today. I don't have words that seem appropriate today to share in this newsletter.

(Small backstory: we had a death in the family, today is the funeral and I am in Cambodia. I also feel a bit heavy from my visit to the Genocide museum here.)

. But I will try and make it inspiring...because this is your weekly dose of inspiration.

Hello and welcome

to the new subscribers. Thank you for joining us on this weekly adventure for a

Dose of Inspiration

and tips to

Create A Life You Love and Go Live It

The theme of this week is "unknown".

Over the last 24 hours, I have had a series of emotions covering all spectrums. (I will list them because it's easier. Writing today is hard.)

  • Happiness - I woke up to my friend leaving a plate of fruit for me for breakfast.

  • More happiness - I was in a meeting and my friend took a piece of his breakfast and left it on my plate for me to try.

  • Discomfort, sadness, anger - walking through the genocide museum and hearing this story. (Learn more here)

  • Physical pain - I felt physically sick at one point. Too many photos of kids.

  • Hopeless - halfway through I had thoughts of Palestine, Syria, Ukraine, Libya, refugees, and more.

  • FLATLINED emotional -the end of the museum.

  • Sadness and gratitude - I sat with my friend Johnny who is Cambodian to take a moment for us both to breathe post museum and I realized what an incredibly special moment this was. To be in this country and learn about his family's history and journey, and to see his own story ...this is special.

  • Speed - working from cafes in another country...somehow I double my speed and my productivity is insane. Especially when I know life is waiting afterward...something I want to practice more of in daily life.

  • Joy - I met a friend whom I haven't seen in years :) laughed at our same random jokes that we had when I was 17 and was comforted knowing that even if my peeps are off-grid in another country ...I will find them hahahhaha

  • Inspired - well I met an amazing photographer and art curator (thank you to Paula for the introduction). Miguel's story is amazing. A true traveler at heart. We swapped artists we love, movies, and inspiring people. I honestly feel like the universe gave me gold again. He is doing some incredible work here in Cambodia and has inspired me to dream bigger for my own little art dream.

  • Ah almost forgot: child-like wonder - He introduced me to Shauna an art curator here who will take me on an art adventure this week.

As you can see this was 24 hours. On top of the base emotion which is regret for not being in South Africa when my family needs me.

You can't control what happens, you can't even control the waves of emotion that will hit you each day...but you can decide to continue on...because there will be another emotion, another good moment and more to life.

Remember each week, we are just moving one tiny step forward to creating a life you love.

Artists Who Inspire

 Artist: Keosocheat Koem

The first Cambodian artist to be featured in a Dose of Inspiration. Meet Keosocheat. She creates these beautiful giant pieces. I love the details in it all.

Fun fact, Cambodia has an incredible art scene and I am just diving in. I need to come back here for a month to explore it all. But for now..go check out her work.

Song of the week

I feel like this one fits this week. Some funk to clear up the air and shift the tone. Also chilled enough to respect this week. If you haven't binged some scary pockets yet, go enjoy yourself in their Youtube channel.

Before I forget - a big thank you to @0melapics for the Tribal design that inspired this branding.
