🌿What would you do if you were inspired? - Issue 84⭐

Hello friends and family!

Happy Wednesday from sunny Siem Reap. We are on week 84 and only 16 more to 100. I can't believe that I am almost here to this magical number. Getting to your first 100 moments of consistency can seem insane when you first think of it but actually, it's just piling on one on top of the other until finally, you are there. (It's actually easier than you think!)

Hello and welcome

to the new subscribers. Thank you for joining us on this weekly adventure for a

Dose of Inspiration

and tips to

Create A Life You Love and Go Live It

The theme of this week is 'Masks'.

I was in a cafe earlier and overheard the guy behind me in two separate conversations and it got me thinking ...

A quick summary:

  • Conversation 1: A conversation with him and two new clients. He was pitching a high-ticket offer for personal training. He was super confident and knew all angles to educate and convince them to sign up with him. I was impressed and actually felt guilty for my own decision to eat pancakes for lunch 😂.

  • Conversation 2: This was after the first couple left, and his friend arrived. This was a completely different mood from the first conversation. He was in pain, heartbroken at the loss of love. It had been a year since they broke up. He still felt the pain and his words were filled with hurt.

I started thinking about these two versions of him and of all of us. Each day we wear these different masks. Masks for work to get things done, masks in certain situations where people are acquaintances, and more.

The part that struck me was when he could let down the mask and be real. Open up the box of what is really going on. I love that he had someone to do it with.

  Task this week:

  • Think about the person whom you can let down your mask with.

  • Send them a message or call them to thank them for giving you this safe space to breathe.

Remember each week, we are just moving one tiny step forward to creating a life you love.

12 (Stoic) Questions That Will Change Your Life

Stoicism should be taught in school. This is one of the best schools of thought to deal with life, your own inner thoughts, and a good tool for surviving the madness of this world. Read Marcus Aurelius Meditations if you have not yet.

Artists Who Inspire

Artist: Pen Robit

Secret is out! The Cambodia art scene is on fire! Being such a young art scene, Cambodian art is filled with diversity and vibrance. As with Jordan, the artists fill up their work with culture and history. This is the second artist I met here.

At first, I was in awe at the scale of his work and beautiful patterns until I learned the depth of it. These patterns are the traditional

design.

The Krama is the foremost symbol of a people whose courage and dignity has allowed them to overcome the very challenges it has suffered

Now, look at his work again! This is what I love about art...there are layers to things ...we just need to look with understanding and openness.

Big shout-out to this amazing human! I met Shauna for literally 5 mins the other day and told her about my dream to be an art curator. She immediately replied with "great take my number and I will show you around the art scene this week". So we swapped contacts and made a plan for Friday.  Then she took me around to meet all these amazing artists in their studios and galleries. (Happiness for days!)This is how I know I am on the right path with all of this... When you want something the whole universe conspires to make it happen!

She will be doing art tours in Phnom Pehn, so drop me a message if you are heading that way and interested in this. I will link you up!

The Jordan Harbinger Show: Episode 690

One of my favourite podcast episodes. I listened to this on the road trip from Phnom Pehn to Siem Reap. Jane McGonigal is a futurist and game designer. The original title on Spotify is "

How to see the future and be ready for anything

" and this is what hooked me first.

Take the time to shift your perspective, I especially love her "5-minute thought activity!".

We are too comfortable in our lives while the world is moving at warped speed and reinventing itself...are you ready for these changes?
