🌿What would you do if you were inspired? - Issue 85⭐

Hello friends and family!

Happy Thursday! One day late with this one and I hope you didn't miss it too much. I needed to rest yesterday so took the space to breathe before writing this. You are in for a treat this week...so let's get to it.

A beautiful

hello and welcome

to the new subscribers. Thank you for joining us on this weekly adventure for a

Dose of Inspiration

and tips to

Create A Life You Love and Go Live It

The theme of this week is 'trust'.

I want to mix trust with surrender this week. I know we covered

'surrending'

back in April.

This past week I was reminded to

trust

the universe/ god/ higher power, whatever you believe in ...but just trust the plan that it has. We often forget this when building and creating a life we want especially when things don't go our way. We lose sight of the truth that is... our destiny is in the hands of something else as well.

I had a deep reflection on all the times life handed me "lemons' ...

  • When I didn't get the job I wanted last year but got offered something better a few months later.

  • When I didn't get the visa for Estonia last month...but I ended up going to Cambodia and having an amazing time.

  • When I ended a relationship that I thought was forever...but it set me on the greatest adventure of my life.

What I am learning with each year that I age, is that

surrending

is the most graceful way to deal with these lemons.

Then having an unwavering trust that it will all work out as intended and of course...

better than expected.

Task this week:

  • Make your own list of "lemons" and what were the best outcomes from it.

Remember each week, we are just moving one tiny step forward to creating a life you love.

I learned a system for remembering everything by Matt D'Avella.

This is actually about Ryan Holiday's system for remembering everything. If you haven't yet, go read his book

Artists Who Inspire

 Artist: Miguel Jeronimo

What a gem! Meet Miguel Jeronimo, a photographer based in Cambodia. Each week I am on the hunt for inspiration for you and me, and a few weeks back I got a major dose of it with one introduction.

I saw his photos in my friend's home and fell in love with his work. Then she offered to introduce me ... extra happiness on my trip. I thought it would be meeting an artist and discussing his process but nope ...it was so much more.

Miguel is also an art curator and was working on an incredible project called "What is your gold?". One conversation and I was inspired by not only his life story but by the power of art and the potential it has in transformation.

(I am now challenging artists to go beyond their art and think one step further ...How can what you are creating be used in transformation?)

I do believe the creative ones will save the world :)

Anyway back to Miguel and his awesome project...

What is your GOLD? By Hiratsuka Niki and Miguel Jeronimo.

"

This exhibition and art therapy project is based on girls rescued from sex trafficking, telling the story of their healing journey and as a fundraising to support their university education. We are focusing on future narratives towards their goals and what they want to become, using the Japanese craft of kintsugi (the fixing of broken objects with gold in order to attribute them more value) as a metaphor for the process of healing. It's an exploration of the girls' dreams and the way we, as a society, represent their journey of surviving and thriving."

Song of the week

Seriously, I am IN LOVE with this album. I have it on repeat and can't wait to see this live someday. And the sad part is I only jumped onto this Harry Styles trend a few weeks ago. For this one...headphones off, turn the volume up loud, and go jump around. It's almost September and we have almost completed another year on earth. Look at us doing great things!

Before I forget - a big thank you to @0melapics for the Tribal design that inspired this branding.
