Hello friends and family!
I can't believe that I managed to fit this into this week. To give you content it's 12:27 am on a Wednesday morning. I have to pack for a 2-day work trip, I had a bunch of things to do before I left and today has been a mess. I almost considered skipping this week or sending this on Sunday. Then I remembered that I have amazing music for you and that hyped me up and got me into this space...so here I am past midnight writing this for you.
Let's go! Hello and welcome
to the new subscribers. Thank you for joining us on this weekly adventure for a
Dose of Inspiration
and tips to
Create A Life You Love and Go Live It
.
The theme of this week is "problems"
I remember in 2020 a colleague of mine did a talk at work on upstream and downstream solutions and this stuck.
Here is a definition:
"An upstream solution creatively addresses a problem at its source. While some situations call for sending help downstream to address an immediate problem, generally “downstream” solutions do not present a permanent or even semi-permanent fix."
Recently I have been trying to solve all problems like this. Whatever came up I would take some time, analyze why it happened and find a sustainable solution at the root of it.
My first thought is how can I never have this problem again?
Life is short and I don't want to have to deal with the same problems over and over again.
(To be honest, I could use that time to dance salsa)
It has created some interesting situations but most often it has solved the problem completely.
Your task this week:
Write down 3 big problems that you are currently facing.
Map it down and find the root cause of the problem.
Now see if you can fix it at that point.
Remember each week, we are just moving one tiny step forward to creating a life you love.

Artists Who Inspire

Artist: Àsìkò
I love when friends share artists with me. This beauty came from Irina. I was stunned by his work. He is a Nigerian artist and he infused his work with history, culture and social context.
If I had an art bucket list, seeing his work in person would be moved to the top.
Do yourself a favour and click his website link to read the backstory of his work. It's magic! 💫

Song of the week
On the topic of magic 💫, Kudoshi finally released some new tracks and this is an experience. A full-body experience. So far only 4 songs are released but they are pure magic! What a journey! I got a notification on Sunday that his EP (Protect Your Chemistry) was out, so I headed over to Soundcloud (which I only use for these moments) and was swept away. All four songs are incredibly different in vibe but will transport you into a very unique space. I have my favourite which is Oxytocin but I thought I would share the most powerful one, ANANDAMIDE today. Headphones on, sit back, and enjoy this ride!
Before I forget - a big thank you to @0melapics for the Tribal design that inspired this branding.
