and tips to

Create A Life You Love and Go Live It

The theme of this week is 'older self'

I did my morning pages and started writing to myself in a fascinating tone. It went something like ...

  • Well done for crushing this year, you seriously gave 2022 all you got.

  • Congrats on all the travel especially the work trips :)

  • I am proud of you for returning to the gym and committing to working out weekly. Extra proud of you for that consistency.

  • You need to start going to bed earlier next year. Make it a point to wind down earlier and stop randomly scrolling on apps after midnight and when you wake up. Maybe try no apps from 10 pm to 10 am next year.

  • Reduce your spending and increase your saving and investing. This one is a must! No compromising on this.

At the end of writing, I noticed that I wrote to myself like an older sister in a very honest, supportive, and nagging way. I pointed out the good, the bad and lectured myself on my bad habits.

In the more spiritual world of personal development, this is a useful tool to create a supporting frame for yourself and to guide your current self to the next level of life.

Task for the week:

  • Write a letter about your life in 2022 but from the perspective of your older self.

  • What can you congratulate yourself on?

  • What observations might your older self have for this version of you?

  • What would they want you to change?

Remember each week, we are just moving one tiny step forward to creating a life you love.

Designing a simple life (minimalist habits) 😌

Sadia is amazing! If you don't know her yet go check out her Youtube channel. Lots of good tips, recipes, and goodness in this woman. I have been a fan since she started her channel and it's been great to see her grow.

Artists Who Inspire

 Artist: Shinobu Ohashi

I must credit this turn of art events to one of the most inspiring people I know. Mimi is a skater, filmmaker, artist, yoyo player (if that is what you call it), and a whole lot more.

We had a conversation on creativity at work and she brought up a paper artist that she loves. This took me on a very interesting adventure into the world of paper artists and their craft. It's a whole new world for me and what an incredible place to be.

I found Shinobu on my art adventure this week. He is an artist from Japan who takes black paper and hand-dyed Japanese paper to create this stained glass art ...or as I call it ...magic.

Song of the week

This guy has been all over my social media over the last few weeks. Just a tiny piece of this song went viral and I absolutely love it. A song in 3 languages (maybe 4 if I missed something) ...let me know if I did. But this is the mixing of cultures and flow that I love, I hope he makes it big and creates more music, becomes famous and tours the world. In one month it got half a million views. 🙌🏾The coolest thing about this is that somewhere out there is a Palestinian kid who watches this and sees hope because he sees someone like him. ♥️

Before I forget - a big thank you to @0melapics for the Tribal design that inspired this branding.
