A beautiful warm and happy hello. I hope you are well and I am sending love. Thank you to everyone who sent pieces to add to this issue for the different sections, I love that you are sharing art, projects, and inspiration for the community. Yes, we have a community here of amazing people and I am so inspired by you all.

This week's theme is “Who do you wanna be when you are old”

I have no idea what happened when I turned 40 but WOW the insights and frustrations. I firstly don’t feel 40, I train like I am 20 and I have the energy of someone with 4 hobbies and tons of projects. I am in a space where I feel like I have been lied to…” Life is best in your 20s…what a lie.

I was first introduced to the podcast by Julie Andrews called Wiser than Me by a dear friend and big inspiration, Ruth. Who played me the podcast featuring Isabel Allende I was so blown away I listened to it a few times.

The fact that she is in her 70s and shares such fun bits about her life. The same happened recently when I heard the podcast episode with Jane Fonda, now in her 80s.

Like seriously… these woman are living life and still thriving! I hate that society, media, and advertising don’t show this. Women living life to their fullest all the way until 100+. Where are these stories because this is what I want to see!

Anyway, I was inspired …What does Isabel Allende do for fun in her 70s…she eats an edible and has amazing sex. Now isn’t that inspiring!

Your task this week:

• Take a moment this week and think about who you want to be when you are older….

For me I want to find hope for this crumbling world, still be dancing salsa a few times a week and also randomly packing my backpack for adventures. Oh, and I want to be more opinionated and louder because the world needs more females doing that!

Meet Eva, one of my favourite travelers on earth, she is badass and has trekked, traveled, and adventured much of the world alone. I have been following her for almost a decade.

Last week she shared this video on something that many women can relate to ..see the video here. She bought a piece of land and finally had some downtime to enjoy life on it, but someone decided to come find her and stalk her on her own private property. The video above is the second one from her, she shares her thoughts and shows you the bounce back that is needed when something like this happens.

Both those videos were hard for me to watch, I have had my versions of this over the years. It is why I don’t go to any bars close to my house or why I am cautious of over-friendly men in random spots. Unfortunately, when you travel the world solo or just live as a woman, you need to be aware of these things. Not an ideal world at all. But we adapt and move forward. It will not scare us into submission.

I love this one, thanks again Luisa! Again I wonder how these new artists will do with AI-making art but I hope we all take a moment to pause when you see something this man made, the effort, creativity, and time it took to make it.

Look around your space and see how many hand-made or locally-made things surround your space. Who are you supporting when you decorate your space…when you buy your clothes or add more things to your life?

Humans to humans …let’s do more of that!

There is a kitten that I rescued. She’s been very very ill and is getting treatment. I am volunteering with an organisation for her case and trying to raise as much funds as possible for her treatments and for as many rescues treatments but right now we are trying to focus on her because her case is pretty critical.

We have been informed that her lungs have collapsed today and the medical expenses are getting more and more as the treatments need to be done for her survival and her recovery. It’s been a long process as this has been ongoing since September.

Once anyone donates please send a copy of their receipt to [email protected].

The clinic has transactions coming in constantly by the minute and it’s going to be easier for us to track her funds with the receipts sent to me so that I can forward them to the clinic also please state that the donation or funds transfer is made to SANDY PPKPP.  

For international transfer, I have set up a Wise account to receive Sandy's donations, which has worked wonders. I will send you the code and the link for my Wise account as well.

Final thoughts:

You can’t solve everything, can’t help everyone, and can’t be the only change-maker. But you can build a community and grab some people to solve problems around you.

You might be one person but you always have some type of community around you to help solve some things.
