💫 A Dose of Inspiration
Hello friends and family,
I hope your week has been filled with love from those who know you, care and, seek you just the way you are—sending you the biggest virtual hug! Thanks for joining me on this adventure. I have a small surprise in upcoming weeks. This is something I have been working on that will take this little newsletter to the next level.
More on that coming soon …but for today, let’s dive into this week’s issue.
This week's theme is “Fill your cup”
I spent last week in a ball of frustration, for no other reason but the fact that I have a bunch of things in my life all on a stage 1 platform. I have started new hobbies, new projects and I have new admin to finish. Not knowing how to do something or not being able to do something even after a 2-hour practice can be very frustrating. Now imagine having 3-4 of these things at the same time.
So I was depleted by the end of Friday, my energy was drained and I needed to fill up my cup.
Today I woke up and decided to take myself on a walk around the city, I picked my recent favorite singer and spent almost the entire day listening to his songs. I don’t need much to fill my cup.
Some good weather, a safe area to walk around, and good music. By the end of the day, my cup was overflowing with love, good energy, motivation, and more. I let my mind wander and think through the week, reorder some of my thoughts, and reframe the energy.
This is something I wish we learned in school. - How to fill your cup. Because no one is coming to fill it up for you and if you are looking for someone else to do this …we need to pause and reevaluate things.
Your task this week:
Take a moment to see how full your cup is. (Meaning how drained or energy-full you are)
What is your plan to fill this up? Do you have a list of things you can do?
The thing is…when your cup is overflowing with energy, love, and vibrance then you can help everyone else. Your oxygen mask goes on first - that airline quote has been a lifesaver for me over the last years moving through grief and loss. This is a good reminder for all those who are care takers of others.
Remember each week, we are just moving one tiny step forward to creating a life you love.
🤙🏾 Inspiration Labs
Inspiration Labs is a 1-hour call where we dive into your project, career, life, or big dream. This free session is to gain clarity, dream bigger, and walk out with 1 action step to start moving forward. This is the value I am adding back to the world 💫
I will open new sessions weekly for this. To have this available to everyone, you are allowed 1 session only. (Sorry I wish, I had all the time in the world to only do this but I have to work too)
🤙🏾 Inspired by …
Something cute to tie into the love week of Feb. I love “the And”, I have been a huge fan and I especially love this episode where they share honestly about the consciousness needed to make a relationship work. Enjoy this one!
🎨 Artists Who Inspire
Alia Ali

A genuine love affair with an artist’s work… Meet Alia Ali. A Yemeni- Bosnian-US artist, whose patterns and depth captured me at Mexico City Art Week. Fast forward to all the articles and critics of her work, I got to uncover an artist whose techniques are used to challenge identity, space, society, and conflict. I love pieces like this because at first glance you will never know the depth and meaning. To some the pattern on pattern is chaotic to others the layers mean depth.
What does this mean for you?
And take a quick read through her current work - Yemini Futurism.
🎶 Song of the week
Something sweet for your heart. Will Gittens is one of my favorite RNB artists. This is who’s music I binged today. My heart is full! FULL after all this soul and goodness.
Now I know we save RNB for house cleaning days but for this one turn it up and enjoy the soul sounds.

Final thoughts:
Last year I was walking around Oaxaca and just before Valentine’s Day I fell in love. With the streets at 7 pm when the sky turned pink. I fell in love with evenings in Oaxaca and that specific spot near the church where I could sit and look down the street directly to the sun setting. Fast forward this year and it’s the sunshine in Winter on a Sunday in Mexico City.
I hope you open yourself up to all the ways that love can show up in your life.
“There is little one can say about love. It has to be lived, and it's always in motion.”
