🌿 What Would You Do If You Were Inspired? Issue 207

💫 A Dose of Inspiration

Hello friends and family,

A beautiful, warm virtual hug from me. How are you? How is your life and the energy of this year going? The energy of the horse asks you to say yes and move on to things you feel stagnant with; it’s an energy of motion. Do you feel it too? It’s been a slow bubbling energy for me. A shift in perspective and in grounding. (No big moves for me, but more internal shifts to really align with what I want)

(Take this moment to check in with yourself.)

Did you pick your theme for the year? I would love to hear from you - hit reply and share if you feel like it. What’s on your list for this year?

This year, my goals are to read more (I am already 3 books in), to sleep before midnight and less phone scrolling before bed (melatonin, sleep mask, and no phones in bed rule is working out), and to get gym out of the way as early in the week as possible.

Weird to be talking goals in Feb, but I feel like this year we are all starting late. Whatever the goal you set this year, be gentle on your soul while you strive for it. We are all just works in progress.

Remember, we are just moving one tiny step forward to curating a life you love.

🤙🏾 Inspired by …

This is probably one of the most important books that I reread every year. It is the gift of knowledge that I wish I could hold at a foundational core. (To really be at peace with a world in chaos)

It’s funny that one man’s diary entries can bring such peace in terms of making sense of the world today. But somehow, for me it does. He deals with the human side of life, the world in constant chaos, and is at its core relatable.

Ah, what fun to be human with all of the messiness, self-inflicted pain, and disturbance at our core, all the while trying to survive in a world built on broken systems.

What’s your coping mechanism for the year?

🎶 Song of the week

I know your life is full of the high energy of Bad Bunny this week, which is incredible. But I have something beautiful for you. Save it when you need a breath of inspiration. Lie back, relax, and enjoy the magic of Two Lanes. I hope this brings you some peace this week.

Cacti exhibition in the Zocalo in Mexico City. Fun fact: They built that church on top of an indigenous religious spot.

Final thoughts:

With travel, we have so many moments of introspection while in movement. While on buses, waiting at airports, and more, yet when we live a stagnant life, the routine becomes a mirror to the shadows, to the way your mind works, and the reality of the way you live your life. This year, I am not sure which one is a bigger teacher of life….

I guess it’s all in how much you care to look at it all or how much you look away.

Thanks for sticking with me this year, as I figure out this new path for the newsletter. I hope you found some inspiration in this. See you in 2 weeks.
